New Castle County High Angle & Confined Space Rescue Team was created in early 1990's to serve the citizen of our ever growing county.

 The team was formed by Station 23 and included Station's 15, 11, 17, & 19 to provide assistance with Technical Rescue capabilites in the event of high & low angle rope rescues and confined space rescues. As of today, the teams staffing is about 60 members on the roster and the current response is Special Ops 15 with HACSR 1 and Rescue Co. 11 for Support.

 Since the events of 9/11 the states infostructure has changed. The State of Delaware, received grants through the WMD Funding (SHSG) to provide Fire & Rescue the ability to be prepared for future situations.

 The NCC HACSR Team received about $300,000.00 to equip, prepare, and train member to handle the task we are able to handle.
